D-Spacer (Data Space as a Service) is a platform for the deployment and operation of secure, sovereign data spaces aligned with data space international standards, such us IDSA, Gaia-X and DSSC. The solution is designed to simplify the implementation of data-sharing ecosystems while reducing the technical and operational complexity typically associated with these environments.
The platform integrates the core components required to guarantee sovereignty and trust, including digital identity services; discovery and observability capabilities such as a federated catalogue; management components such as participant onboarding modules; and operational components for running a data space, including APIs, data models, and related services.
One of D-Spacer’s main objectives is to reduce the time-to-market of data-sharing initiatives. Its SaaS approach enables organisations to deploy collaborative environments quickly and in a scalable way, while keeping full control over data at source and enforcing provider-defined usage policies.
The solution can be deployed both in cloud and on-premise environments and is prepared to support the progressive growth of data ecosystems, incorporating governance capabilities, access control, monitoring and operational support.
Beyond the technological infrastructure itself, D-Spacer also includes complementary services aimed at facilitating the adoption of data spaces within organisations and consortiums. These services include technical support, consultancy, specialised training, as well as verification and certification services.
The solution builds on SQS’s extensive experience in data spaces and systems validation. In 2022, the company became the first accredited laboratory for IDSA connector validation, in 2024, the first accredited training provider for the IDSA Professional Qualification Programme and recently, in 2025, SQS was appointed as a conformity assessment body (CAB) for Catena-X. This expertise is complemented by a long-standing background in verification, validation and certification of critical systems, together with experience in security and management standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, ENS and ISO/IEC 17025. With this approach, D-Spacer aims to provide not only a technological platform, but also a comprehensive framework for deploying interoperable, secure and sustainable data ecosystems tailored to the real needs of each initiative.
