The Role of SQS

SQS (Software Quality Systems) has been appointed as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for the Catena-X Automotive Network. As part of this role, SQS supports organizations in validating their compliance within a collaborative data ecosystem for the automotive industry. Catena-X is the world’s first open and collaborative data ecosystem designed specifically for the global automotive industry, enabling secure, standardized and sovereign data exchange across the entire value chain.

The ecosystem is designed to address present industry challenges such as supply chain sustainability, traceability and regulatory compliance in an innovative and efficient way. To make this possible, common standards play a central role, supported by certification schemes that ensure their consistent application across the ecosystem.

As a Conformity Assessment Body within Catena-X, SQS is authorized to carry out independent conformity assessments in line with the ecosystem’s certification framework.

With this appointment, SQS reinforces its role as a partner supporting organizations in digital transformation, quality assurance and secure data ecosystems.

In this context, SQS will support companies in:

Interoperability validation: assessing whether digital systems meet Catena-X specifications for secure and reliable data exchange.
Information security verification: ensuring that participating organizations comply with recognized security standards, including ISO 27001 and TISAX.
