SQS has participated in the European project Boost 4.0 (Big Data For Factories), dedicated to improving the competitiveness of European connected smart factories and demonstrating the potential of big data technologies as a response to the current challenges of the automotive sector for manufacturing . The project closed on 10th December with a conference where major advances and progress made throughout the initiative were presented.

The Innovalia group has led this project, but some of the main European companies related to the automotive sector such as Gestamp, Volvo, Volkswagen, Capvidia, Philips, Siemens, IBM, and Telefonica have also participated. In total, more than 50 companies from 16 European countries.

In this final conference, the results of the largest big data trials in the industry were presented. Experts in areas related to Industry 4.0 showed their knowledge, best practices and lessons learned on how big data technologies, artificial intelligence and digital manufacturing platforms have helped companies reverse long manufacturing cycles and logistics surpluses.
