Quality Breakfast Meetings

Due to the relevance of been trained, SQS has decided to increase its training offer. During 2008, the Quality Breakfast Meeting for professionals will take place.Different topics like Extreme Programming and Clues for load and performance testing.

The first meeting took place with great success the 5th of February and the topic was Agile Software Development Methologies. The next meeting was the 7th of may. The second topic was "Keys for successfully Load and Performance Testing"

Keys for successful load and performance testing - 7th of May

Software developments are nowadays more focused on the Internet web pages. Let us consider for example the increasingly widespread applications geared to electronic commerce for which the company must offer an optimal service to users. For this reason, the test loads and yields became indispensable in any web development, so we can provide with them what are the limits of our system, identifying future errors.

Aware of this importance, the SQS company decided to develop this theme in one of its quality breakfast meetings, such as the one that took place last May 7th in Madrid under the title "keys for successful load and performance testing", gathering professionals who work undertaking processes of this kind or people that have planned to run on this type of test in the near future.

The topic of the load and performance tests will be repeated again in another breakfast meeting next July 16th in Bilbao.

 

Agile Software Developments Methodologies - 5th of February

SQS has started with a series of activities to stimulate the culture of Software Quality within the organizations. The event that has given beginning to this series of Agile activities is a Software Quality Breakfast for Agile Software Developments Methodologies celebrated the 5th of February in SQS´ offices in Madrid.

With a great acceptance, the breakfast has counted with professionals of different enterprise scopes, different necessities and different levels from implantation of the methodologies. The most positive part of the event was the possibility of sharing and discussing experiences on an interesting and opened subject as are the Agile Development Methodologies.

The objectives that established during work breakfast were:

  • To know the main methodologies, and the diverse ways of agile implantation
  • To deepen and to debate more on two of the extended agile methodologies: XP and SCRUM
  • To discuss on experiences and problems at the time of implanting agile methodologies

During the event the basic characteristicses of the agile methodology wre explained. Later a debate was generated in which all the assistants participated actively explaining their own experiences, their problems and their results at the time of implanting agile methodologies. As final result of the Quality Breakfast, and due to the shown interest in the topic, SQS is going to form a group interested in agile methodologies.
